Private Utility Scanning - Abbotsford, British ColumbiaUtility Locating Prior to Soil Boring and Environmental Testing

- Abbotsford, British Columbia

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems Enterprises, Inc. of British Columbia was contacted by a leading environmental contractor to locate underground utilities near proposed soil testing locations. The client was planning on coring through the slab on grade, and boring into the ground to a depth of 20’. GPRS was able to locate a small water line, and a communication conduit near the very first location that was surveyed. With this information, the client was able to avoid a potential utility hit that would have stopped work, and cost money to repair.

Soil boring clearance using Radar and Radio detection technologies is a quick and easy way to make sure utilities are not compromised during the job. GPRS can be on site within 24 hours of a request in order to keep these types of unpredictable environmental projects running smoothly.
